Activity Details (Digital Climate Ambassadors - blended activity)
This activity will take place in Austria and online. It aims to develop the digital skills of migrant youth, strengthen their social integration, and increase their environmental awareness. Participants will use digital tools and AI technologies to produce innovative solutions to environmental problems and act as active citizens in their communities.
Activity Content:
- Digital Skills and AI Training: Young people will be introduced to digital and AI tools designed to address environmental challenges.
- Practical Workshops and Online Activities: Participants will design and present projects such as recycling algorithms and energy-saving applications.
- Social Integration and Environmental Awareness: Youth will collaborate with local communities on environmental campaigns and joint projects; intercultural dialogue and social cohesion will be strengthened.
- Certification: Successful participants will receive the Digital Climate Ambassador certificate and become role models and environmentally conscious leaders in their communities.
Target Group:
- Migrant youth with limited digital skills, low environmental awareness, and economic or cultural disadvantages.
- A total of 60 young people (20 from each partner country) will participate.
Contributions and Expected Results:
- Participants digital skills and knowledge of AI applications will increase.
- Environmental awareness and sense of social responsibility will be strengthened.
- Youth will run local environmental projects, organize awareness campaigns, and take leadership roles.
- Local communities, educational institutions, and environmental organizations will benefit from the outcomes.
- This activity will enhance migrant youths social inclusion while supporting equality and inclusiveness principles.
Digital Climate Ambassadors will directly contribute to the project's main objectives by preparing participants to become environmentally conscious, digitally skilled, and socially active individuals.
